Pialba Scout Group - Hervey Bay

It's with a heavy heart that we advised that the safe space that we have for our youth has been invaded by a member of the community. This has resulted in resources and equipment that has been stolen from the Youth, Leaders and families, who volunteer their time for the Pialba Scout Group.

This break-in has now also resulted in getting all our locks changed which is a cost that as a non-profit organisation we didn't forecast.

We are talking to Scouts QLD regarding our insurance, but there is always a gap between what is covered and not covered.

If we are fortunate enough to raise the amount to cover all costs associated with the break-in, all extra funds will still go towards the costs associated with running a Scout Group and Programming expenses for our Youth Members.

Pialba Scouts has been serving the Fraser Coast region for decades providing experiences and life skills for Youth of the region.

If you are not able to donate money but would like to contribute to Scouting, we are looking for more Leaders and Adult Helpers to help provide Youth Members with opportunities to connect with other groups, build team skills, leadership, encourage resilience and an adventurous spirit. The Pialba Scout Group is a small but active community group that relies entirely on fundraising by member's families.
