Pickle in the Pines

Hi! We a group of Meridian Moms who have been donating our time (and muscles!) to clean up some tennis courts that had found themselves in bad shape! The courts are part of Poplar Springs Swim & Racquet Club, but have not been used or maintained in some time.

We setup a beginners pickleball meet up at the one indoor court at Baptist Anderson Healthplex where we can use the childcare provided - however our keen group has grown in both size and skills! When the club offered us the opportunity to clean up the tennis courts to create a multi purpose space for pickleball and tennis alike, we jumped at the opportunity.

Aside from time and labor, funds will ultimately be needed to elevate the courts from cracked and weed-ridden to a cherished space for community recreation.

Please consider a donation to help support our goals to:

1. Wash, spot repair (fill in those cracks!) and repaint the existing court (it will not be perfectly smooth which will affect play somewhat)

2. Nets for tennis and pickleball

3. Floodlights repairs (new circuit breakers, outlets and work on overhanging branches)

4. Resurface the courts (the dream!)
