"Pickles! The Bindlestiff Kid Show"

Hello, friends and supporters of theater and art for children in the Bay Area!

 

This is Ramon Abad, the Director of "Pickles! The Bindlestiff Kid Show". Today, I'm reaching out to you seeking donations to help support the amazing artists bringing this unique show to life on November 12 & 13 at Bindlestiff Studio, San Francisco.

 

The Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) has provided a solid base by sponsoring our show...but we could use a little more help!

 

All the hard work by our Makers, Puppeteers, Musicians and Video Artists is compelled by the need to bring live theater, puppetry and music to children who have been deprived of live performances for the past years due to mean ol' Covid-19!

Our story began back in 2019 when groups of volunteers worked tirelessly to create the first kid's show at Bindlestiff...but Covid had shut it all down! The puppets & sets have sat untouched at the shuttered theater until restrictions eased...and APICC was able to provide an opportunity to breathe life back into the show.

....and we were sooooo close too this past May! Four days before we were to open, a water leak in the theater's ceiling forced us to postpone the show & reschedule to November. Strike Three in this long inning, but we ain't out, folks! We're getting ready to go up to bat with your help!

 

As a bonus, several of the puppets of our show will be up for auction too!

All puppets were lovingly hand-made by great artists & designers!

We previously announced that we may auction these puppets for donations...but it appears that we may indeed remount the show again in 2023! So, please stayed tuned!
