Picture book - We are Muslim
Donation protected
Do you want to see a better understanding of Muslims? Fed up with all the ignorance?
Here's your chance to support a highly-commended* book project that will teach children - of all ages! - in a fun and attractive way.

We are Muslim is the working title of a picture book aimed at helping non-Muslims understand their Muslim friends and neighbours.
Story
After frequently being asked about her Islamic faith, Hanna - a mixed-race British girl - wants to find out more.
The illustrated story follows her as she discovers more from her parents and grandparents, and starts to feel more comfortable in her self.

The makers hope it will answer questions that children (and many adults!) have about Muslim beliefs and practices but may not always feel comfortable asking.
How to help
You can support by donating and spreading the word. Funds will go towards the book's publication, with aspects including - among others - edit, design, typesetting, printing, marketing and distribution.
We hope it will delight children and parents alike - and prove a useful tool for schools and educational groups.
*The draft was "highly commended" in a contest held by the prestigious London publishers Faber and Faber and has been checked by a well-respected British Shaykh (Muslim scholar). It will be illustrated by award-winning artist Saira Tariq. The work has been written by a journalist with more than 10 years' experience in the mainstream media.
