PiE 10 Years!

Who are we?
Hello! Pioneers in Engineering, or PiE as we affectionately called ourselves, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2008 at UC Berkeley. We are comprised entirely of student volunteers and we organize and operate an annual robotics competition for over 20 high schools in Bay Area, California.
What do we do?
PiE provides the opportunity for under served communities to experience robotics first hand. We do this by developing and subsidizing in-house robotics kits for every team we host! We also pair trained UC Berkeley student mentors with high school teams to guide and encourage our students on their robotics journey. We hope to continue to expand our PiE community and work with even more teams in the future!
Why do we do it?
Our mission is to bridge the gap in STEM learning and provide an open community for everyone, regardless of income or background. We want to give everyone the chance to learn more about robotics and STEM education!
How can you help?
PiE is currently in its 10th year of serving the Bay Area and we need your help to continue our mission to advance low-cost robotics for under served communities. Your donation will help support the training of mentors for high school teams, expand PiE in a Box ventures, pay for the research and development of our robotics kit, and help fund the operations of our robotics competition.
Your donations would be highly appreciated and would help make what we do possible!
What if I can't help with this campaign at this time?
That's totally ok! Please share this campaign link and encourage others to donate if they can! Also, if you shop on Amazon, please utilize smile.amazon.com and select Pioneers in Engineering as your organization to donate to. Amazon will then donate a small percentage of your purchase to our cause.
