Who wants to see TWO pies thrown in my face? We reached our first goal of $750 thanks to all of the generous donors. Let's see if we can reach our next goal of $1500!
Why the pie?
A dear friend and beloved member of the infertility community went through hell and back to be a mama. Her and her husband, who is in the military, went through many excruciating years of infertility, many treatments and losses to come through only with empty arms. They decided to start the adoption process and were placed with an incredible little girl. Then they unexpectedly had to endure a scary and heartbreaking year's worth of legal challenges to provide her with a forever home in their care .
On top of a year's worth of unexpected legal fees, my friend is now coming to terms with her painful endometriosis diagnosis and is facing a much needed surgery.
This is how pie face for family building was born. We already raised 750 dollars, so fellow advocate, Jen Rutner gets to throw a gluten free, dairy free endometriosis-friendly pie IN MY FACE! If we raise 1500 dollars she will get to throw TWO pies in my face!
