Troy Pierce's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Troy is facing the battle of his life after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is a husband, father, friend, a man of God and so much more to those who are fortunate to know him. With four precious children at home, Troy and Kristina need our support.
Kristina and I met over 20 years ago in Bible Study Fellowship and then God brought us back together in Austin, where she stepped in and helped with my quadruplets when I went back to work. Our family has been so blessed by Kristina and Troy over the years and I know there are many other families whose lives have been touched and would like to offer support to them during this challenging time.
We are asking not only for your prayers but also your financial support to assist with impending medical and living expenses. Your support could help alleviate this concern for Troy and Kristina and allow them to focus on Troy's healing.

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but SHOUTS in our pain. It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." C.S. Lewis
As 2018 came to an end, Troy spent New Year’s Eve day at MD Anderson for his annual checkup at the Survivor’s Clinic. Not how one anticipates ringing in the new year, but thankful for yearly checkups and great care. On his way home, Troy called to let me know he was finished and I literally said “great” and hung up. He called right back and said that I had not let him finish. I wondered what else there was to say. He was told that they observed an issue with his pancreas and he would need further testing. The wait began. We got a call on January 11th, that he would have an endoscopy and biopsy on January 15th. My dad drove in from Fort Worth and the three of set out on our journey to MD Anderson. We received no news after the procedure, which was a bit odd and simply left us hopeful yet numb.
Yesterday, the doctor called to let Troy know he indeed has pancreatic cancer."
Troy has an appointment at MD Anderson this week to learn more about his upcoming treatments. Any amount you can contribute will help alleviate the financial burden for Troy and Kristina. We truly appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
