Help poor families in Uganda to buy Piglets for Prosperity
Donation protected
Last year you helped our village in Uganda raise over £2000 to repair a road that had been damaged by heavy rain and landslides. The project allowed the community of Bukirimwa access the local trading markets with their produce. The beauty of that completed project is that we had contribution both on the ground and from these funding pages. Moreover, the project is now sustainable and has benefitted several thousand people already. The repaired road will last for at least 10 years. This year we are looking to start another a community-driven initiative in the same village called "Piglets for Prosperity." This project is the brainchild of the women leaders in the village, who have longed to empowered in making their community more connected and prosperous. Piglets for Prosperity will aim to provide 50 piglets to families in the village, empowering the women of the house with a source of income, produce and economic resilience. In return, each participating family has to agree to pass on the off spring piglets to another family ensuring that the benefits continue to multiply.
