Pikelet Butterwiggle is Australia's premier rescue royalty, King!

Patty Cakes is Australia's premier Prince Charming, little bro extraordinaire.

Both boys are undergoing different chemotherapy protocols at Advanced Vet Care Kensington in Melbourne, Australia.

Pikelet, while technically in medical remission, has just a few more weeks of this round of CHOP chemo, which has been a 19 week course. He is doing exceptionally well for an old dog with leukaemia.

Unfortunately Patty Cakes has a bigger hill to climb at this time. Patty is approx 2 years younger than Pikelet, and he happens to have different types of cancer than his older brother. Stage 5 Lymphoma and mast cell tumour.

This coming week, on Wednesday the 14th of August (the day of this campaign launch), both boys will be attending the specialist vet for treatment.

However, Patty has been having an extremely difficult time with his toileting... a lot of diarrhoea with a huge amount of blood in it.

Just for Wednesday the 13th of August the estimate for the joint vet bill will be just under $4000.

We URGENTLY need some help with funds for this and a fair bit extra to enable us to cover the next two weeks of vet bills as well as finally shipping in an oxygen compressor and large incubator (from Puppywarmer in the US) for the boys during tough episodes where breathing is laboured. Our nearest emergency Vet Hospital is over a 60 minute drive away.

As Pikelet (and Patty Cakes) are the figureheads of Life of Pikelet Rescue, we hope that with the support of many loyal LoPers, we can give these boys the best standard of care and vet treatment, as we have all the other hundreds of animals that they've shared their home and lives with.

If 600 people were to gift this fund $22 each, we would fast reach our goal and be able to focus on getting these rescue pups everything they need over the next two weeks.
