Nonprofit project has plane stolen and burned
Donación protegida
Hello, I am Anis Pradhan, an aircraft mechanic and flight instructor.
I had built this airplane for 10 years and it was all gone in a single moment. It was a vintage 1948 Vagabond that was completely redone and rebuilt by me. It was made in hopes of brining pilot education to the underprivileged in Nepal.
Some people came by in a pickup truck and stole my trailer with the airplane inside it from my brothers warehouse parking lot in Torrance, CA. The trailer also has several airplane engines inside. The trailer with the airplane was later found in an industrial area in Long Beach, CA, where it had been burned and scrapped. All that remains is the charred flat trailer bed. I was informed of it's location by an anonymous person that works in the area who sent photos of the trailer before it had been scrapped but after it had burned. By the time the informant found how to contact me, it had already been scrapped.
After asking nearby unhoused people, they claimed it had been brought there and burned a few days earlier.
Several news agencies have reported on it before the trailer and airplane was found.

The airplane was part of a project to bring aviation education to Nepal as a nonprofit. The nonprofit would have been designed to provide a way for the students to make their own living through aircraft maintenance and commercial piloting. The airplane was uninsured due to it being in storage in preparation for shipping. This plane was more than my property, it was a way for the underprivileged people of Nepal to have opportunities to rise above poverty. Nepal is a small country in South Asia that is considered one of the poorest in the world and was where I originally immigrated from when I was a teenager.
If you would like to contribute to this cause and help us get a new airplane to fund this project, feel free to send your support. All support goes to getting a new airplane to be used for education and getting the nonprofit up in the air.
