Pine Valley Middle School OOTM Team

Hi, my name is Diana Adam and I coach one of the Pine Valley Middle school teams. This year we qualified to go to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals competition but we need your help in making that a reality.

This is my team's first year competing together and it has been amazing seeing them grow. The team did an awesome job competing in the regional and state competitions. Now we are heading to Iowa for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals. What an honor to be chosen!

Odyssey of the Mind is an international creativity competition that helps students develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, math, language arts, science, writing, engineering, and the performing arts. (http://odysseyofthemind.com)

Each year teams of 5-7 students choose from five different problems to solve. Our team of 7 students from Pine Valley Middle School chose the Odyssey ReOMvention. The team wrote an original script, created props, built a set, made their own costumes and learned about teamwork along the way!

What will it take to attend the World Finals Competition at Iowa State University?

Housing and travel costs will be

$1,500 per person. So we need to raise $12,000 to send the whole team and 1 awesome coach. They have worked so hard to get to this point and we'd love to see them go all the way!
