1875 Historic Pink House Restoration Project

Hello! My name is Jennifer, owner of the Pink House Tea Room in New Baltimore, Michigan.

I purchased this lovely Victorian home known as "the gem of New Baltimore" in 2019 and have created a successful tea room and a beautiful bay-view bed and breakfast over the last 3 years for the community and visitors from around the world to enjoy.

Knowing the age of this historic property, I expected a considerable amount of work to keep it in good condition but was not prepared to uncover severe structural issues when fixing some deck issues.

About a month ago, we had to close our business to fix some water damage in the back room so we thought it was a great time to fix the front and back porch.

It's a good thing we did because that's how we found the structural damage!

Having a deep love for old architecture, it was hard watching the elaborate gingerbread trim disintegrate and the structure of the house become compromised.

Little by little, we have restored and renovated many parts of this historical property but the challenges of being a small business over the past couple of years have kept us from continuing the restoration processes.

I believe in community and the love for these beautiful old properties. I would enjoy the partnerships with you in seeing this beautiful structure brought back to glory.

Every penny that is raised will go directly into the repairs and restoration of this old house to quickly reopen for all of Michigan, and beyond, to enjoy.
