Piper Rae Medical Fund

Miss Piper Rae Flores Hilbert was born September 30, 2022, at 3:44am. Unfortunately, she suffered a traumatic labor injury which Ied to severe MAS (meconium aspiration syndrome) when delivered which led to HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy) and PPH (persistent pulmonary hypertension). Pretty much all the scary words a parent never wants to hear. As a result, Miss Piper was flown to UC Davis for treatment which so far has included an ECMO machine and dialysis so her body can destress and heal itself. Her father and I stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for four months in Sacramento, CA. We were eventually transferred back to Renown Hospital and Piper was officially discharged into our care on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2023. It was a long and bumpy road, but we made it through, this part at least. Piper is now thriving at home thanks to medication and a g-button placement. She was able to fully get off of oxygen support, which is a miracle within itself. Thank you for your love, support, and well wishes. You truly helped us survive in a time that seemed bleak and hopeless.
