Pippa's MRI and Vet Bills

We are Morgan and Nic, from Sit & Stay Pet Sitting located in North Eastern Pennsylvania. We put together this fundraiser in hopes of being able to help one of our newest and youngest pack members. We have spent the last few weeks falling absolutely in love with Pippa, a 5 month old English Cream Golden Retriever, who is suspected to be completely blind and has been having intense seizures. Despite all her health issues, she is the happiest little pup, and plays so well with the rest of our pack. It never stops her from zooming around, and absolutely loving life. She adores her big sister Rosie, and Rosie has become just as obsessed with her too. We would love to be able to help her parents out with vet bills, if you have a little extra to send their way, we would be extremely grateful.

"Our sweet Pippa found her way to us. In November, We saw a post about a special little girl in need of a home. After inquiring, we found out she was a 10 week old puppy who was suspected to have a visual impairment and the owners wanted her to go to a home with another dog to watch after her. In March of 2021, we lost our 16.5 year old golden, Maisie, who spent the last years of her life blind, so we felt we could give this little one a good home. We drove to upstate NY where we met and fell in love with this white little fuzzball who we named Pippa.

Several days after coming home, she took her first seizure with us. After her second, we were at the emergency vet where they prescribed her Keppra and referred us to a neurologist. We met with him in December, and she cleared other neuro tests. At his recommendation, we also got a dna test to see if she had pre-disposition to any diseases, and thankfully she did not!

She was doing well on the medication but in late January she had a cluster of seizures and had to be hospitalized. They can continue to adjust her medications, but the only way to truly know what may be causing the seizures and likely her blindness, is through an MRI. Sadly an MRI is a major procedure for a dog because they’ll need to sedate her. This also means it’s a very costly procedure.

Coincidentally, our Maisie who we lost several years ago also had seizures. We’re so grateful that we have the knowledge and experience to provide the care we need for Pippa, thanks to our Angel Maisie. The MRI could help us unlock the reason for Pippa’s condition and we’re grateful for any and all support in caring for this very special girl. "
