Pirate Radio Amsterdam: Help Us Set Sail!
Donation protected
Pirate Radio started as a small, grassroots effort between friends looking to create a party for our friends and community.
We’re a non-profit, running entirely on the support of those who bought tickets and showed up to our first three parties. What began as a DIY gathering is still very much that today. In making Pirate Radio happen, we’ve grown into a close-knit, community-driven party, and it’s been brilliant to see familiar faces return. As we gear up for our fourth edition—our biggest yet—we’re asking for your support!
This time, we’re taking the Pirate Radio name literally. On May 31st, our next boat party will be setting sail on an actual pirate ship. But to make it happen without raising ticket prices, we need some extra funds to match it—better sound, better lighting, and, most importantly, fair pay for the artists we bring on board.
With the rising cost of living affecting us all, putting on these parties has become more challenging. From venue hire to insurance, staffing, fuel, equipment, and artist fees—the costs keep adding up. For a small, community-run event like ours, ticket sales alone don’t cover everything.
That’s why we’re running this fundraiser throughout April, kicking things off in style with a street party in Amsterdam on King’s Day—more details to follow soon.
Any contribution, big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help keep the pirate spirit alive.
Thanks for being part of this journey with us!
