Pitbulls and Addicts "Outside Your Elements"

Sober as of March 26, 2016, Mike has since worked tirelessly as a carpenter/contractor (re)building custom decks, fireplaces, tree houses, barns, outside dog kennels, etc. (view his work for yourself on his IG and FB pages) while simultaneously saving and rehabilitating pitbulls. Arya, his pitbull, saved his life and helped him remain on the road of sobriety. The responsibility of caring and loving for his dog proved to be beneficial and therapeutic on so many levels - it built his confidence, it held him accountable to his work and personal responsibilities, he had a purpose to LIVE and stay sober!!!

Mike's real passion is pitbull rescue and mentoring recovering addicts to STAY sober by creating the "Outside Your Elements" program. Removing addicts from their environment (or out of their elements), and into  "Freedom Home" - a 4,000 square-foot, wooden-enclosed foster home for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals - offers recovering addicts an opportunity to work with pitbulls and to live, work, and learn life skills that will help them remain sober - all expense free!
