Over just the past two weeks, the Ukrainian people have been subjected to unimaginable horrors: indiscriminate bombing, street-to-street fighting, and their homes collapsing.
We cannot help to defend Ukraine, but we can help defend its people. 3.3 million refugees have already crossed into Poland, Hungary, and other nations, where they have struggled to secure scarce food, housing, and social aid. This is to say nothing of the estimated 6 million refugees still remaining within Ukraine, waiting desperately for a way out of the country.
We are working with international organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and UNICEF to deliver goods through humanitarian corridors into Ukraine and with local organizations in Poland and other neighboring countries to provide the basic necessities of life for refugees, everything from toothbrushes to education. Every dollar you give will help keep a Ukrainian woman or child away from the front lines and safe in a new home.
