Pittman Family Severe House Fire

Hello, this is Sam Pittman, the son of the Pittman Family. Early Sunday morning, Oct. 15, a large fire started in the roof of our house. It spread fast; and it was only thanks to God that my family made it out safe, including our two dogs. Thanks to the efforts of the firemen, they were they able to save the house from completely being destroyed. However, the damage from both the fire and the water used by the firefighters left our house in ruin and most of our material possessions gone.

My parents were missionaries for 30 years, and this was to be their final home as they re-connected with friends and family. To see it all go up in smoke has been hard for my entire family. All in all, the house may take anywhere from 6-7 months to be repaired at the earliest. The worst case being an entire year.

This entire situation is new to us and we’ve been feeling overwhelmed by it all. From trying to make sure insurance helps us to finding temporary residence, it all seems so much. It’s not easy asking for help, but I want to help my family more than anything. So, I’m asking anyone who is willing to help us to pray and send some support, even if it’s small. My family would be forever thankful.
