Pittsburgh Celtic Supporters Club Charities

We're the Pittsburgh Celtic Supporters Club, a close-knit group of fans of the Glasgow-based Celtic Football Club, here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Because we're so passionate about our club, and dedicated to the same values of the club, we want to follow in the footsteps of the club's found, Brother Walfrid, who founded the Celtic Football Club to help "with the purpose of alleviating poverty in the East End of Glasgow by raising money for the charity Walfrid had instituted, the Poor Children's Dinner Table. Walfrid's move to establish the club as a means of fund-raising was largely inspired by the example of Hibernian, which was formed out of the immigrant Irish population a few years earlier in Edinburgh."

We currently support two charities, one in Glasgow, and one here at home in Pittsburgh: The Celtic FC Foundation, based in Glasgow, which strives to help alleviate poverty in Scotland, Ireland, and the UK, and Rainbow Kitchen Community Services, who have been helping improve the quality of life for low-income families and individuals through programs that address hunger, child nutrition and supportive services since 1984.

We provide monthly donations to each of these great charities through Celtic matchday donations from our Club members, and this is an easier way to continue that support, and expand our charitable reach to a larger community! We would greatly appreciate anything you can contribute to these two great causes that help both at home and abroad!
