Pittsburgh Food Bank Triathlon Fundraiser
Tax deductible
On April 20th, I will be starting a triathlon challenge to raise money for the Pittsburgh Food Bank. Let’s try to donate as much money as possible! The Pittsburgh Food Bank is working tirelessly to provide emergency food to our community during this pandemic. Your support for this initiative will help offset some of the adversities this crisis is causing and will motivate me to push myself! Here is how it works: For every $300 dollars donated to the Pittsburgh Food Bank, I will complete an Olympic Distance Triathlon. My plan is to do these triathlons on consecutive days until the ceiling of what we raised is reached, stopping it at 31 days. So if we are able to raise at least $9,300, I will do thirty-one Olympic Distance Triathlons in a row. An Olympic distance triathlon consists of a 0.9 mile swim, a 24.9 mile bike ride, and a 6.2 mile run. Because of all pools being closed, I will substitute the swim with a 25 minute workout. The bike portion will be completed outside or indoors on an online cycling platform called Zwift. The run will always be completed outside.
