Pizza vs. Hunger

Hi, my name is Sabina Prieto, and I am the proud creator of Pizza vs Hunger. I had been interested in creating an organization to help with the growing hunger crisis ever since I was young. Recently, the hunger crisis has been increasing faster than ever due to Covid-19, especially in downtown San Diego. I took this as a call to start this service project that I had been dreaming of creating for years. I began brainstorming ideas and ways to help; immediately, I thought of partnering with my father's pizza company, Mama Mia Pizza. I asked my father what the lowest price he could give me for a large pizza that would feed about four people was. When my dad told me that for only $5 he would provide me with one large pizza; I knew I would be able to start this project soon, especially with the help of social media. I figured that online donations would be the safest way to begin raising money to later deliver pizza directly to people in hunger once a month.
