PJF requests your support for Brandon Forshaw
Tax deductible
The Pararescue Foundation is requesting support for Brandon Forshaw, a recently retired PJ, and his family. After agonizing weeks of tests, Brandon was diagnosed with Stage 3C Seminoma, or testicular cancer.
After months of misdiagnosis and ER visits, he finally found a veteran doctor who listened and immediately requested the appropriate tests. The physicians are optimistic of the treatment plan prescribed, however, cannot predict everything. For example, Brandon was recently admitted to the hospital for an extremely large blood clot that had to be removed immediately. That was an unexpected week in the hospital for that procedure and the aggressive chemotherapy treatment immediately following the next week. Brandon, Leslie and their three children, one who has special needs, are displaced from their home in Georgia due to the lack of initial medical treatment. Fortunately, they were able to live with Brandon’s parents about an hour from treatment but must stay at a hotel during the five day-a-week infusions that last between 4 to 6 hours.
Both Brandon and Leslie are Air Force Veterans. Leslie is still serving as a reservist but primarily works as a stay-at-home mom. Brandon is currently unable to work due to the treatment schedule and the way that the chemo affects him on a daily basis. With no current income, the financial strain of the situation has become a burden on the family. While they don’t expect this situation to last forever, there are future surgeries post-chemo and the unexpected hold-ups that they’ve already experienced. The endgame will be returning to work as soon as reasonably able.
The GoFundMe money would go to helping the Forshaw family with travel and living expenses, as they are displaced from their primary residence in Georgia, and it will cover any unexpected costs that arise in relation to this huge life-direction change. Any funds not used by the family for this purpose will support the continuous mission of the Pararescue Foundation.
