My uncle Patrick Knutson--to others, PK, dad, husband, brother, friend, son (to Maria Marabella), and mentor--is fighting pancreatic cancer. This battle is hard, and is especially challenging to navigate in the middle of a pandemic. Clinical options are out the window due to COVID, and we are fighting to get health insurance to cover possible life-saving medications.
My uncle has shaped my life in ways I will be forever grateful for, and I am certain I am not the only one. Cancer is blind, and this feels so unfair given the character, kindness, and selflessness of this man. We are rooting, praying, cheering him on everyday and searching for a miracle.
