Help Scott with Medical Bills

On New Year's Eve, Scott went to soak his feet in some hot epsom salt water.

Scott has neuropathy and has no feeling in his feet. He did not realize how hot the water actually was. He soaked his feet for about 30 min before realizing it was way too hot and it burned his feet very badly.

He went into the ER, as all his skin was falling off. Luckily, he still couldnt feel anything.

The nurses/Drs should have been cooling his feet immediately to stop the burning, but he ended up waiting around for hours while waiting for decisions to be made.

He was admitted to the U of U burn unit and was in the ICU for a week before the first graft surgery.

He has undergone 2 surgeries. The last one they found that his ligaments were burned beyond repair. It was after that surgery that they decided double amputation will be the best route, as his feet are not repairable.

Again, Scott has felt no pain, thank goodness. But will feel pain after amputation as they will take mid calf and down for prosthetics to fit properly.

Scott has been unable to work and will accumulate lots of medical bills. We won't know the extent of the bills for a couple of weeks, but it will be quite a bit. 

Scott is in the best of spirits and is his usual positive self, if you know him then you know. Scott has always looked on the bright side of things and is never one to ask for help.

He has truly shown his family the meaning of finding positivity in every situation he is given. Scott has 12 kids and 33 grandkids!
