Rest Easy Harper Jackson

Update: With a heavy heart Mel had to say goodbye to Harper over the weekend. The fight was just too strong for Harper’s body and he was only worsening. We appreciate all of your donations and kind words through this time. Life will not be the same for Mel without Harper but he will forever hold a special place in her heart.

Harper was diagnosed with pneumonia Thursday and has been in critical condition since. He has been in and out of emergency hospitals and was transferred to NC State Veterinary Hospital by doggy ambulance on oxygen yesterday. His mom made this decision to transfer him from Charlotte to Raleigh to ensure he was receiving the very best care. Harper has required plasma transfusions, constant oxygen support and around the clock care from his veterinary team. Today Harper's doctors decided it was best to put him on a ventilator. His fight right now is extremely critical. The doctors at NC State are working diligently to determine why his condition is worsening so fast.
