Plano Citizens4Strong Neighborhoods

Plano Citizens 4 Strong Neighborhoods is a Political Action Committee (PAC) formed with Planofuture.org (PlanoFuture) for the purpose of requiring a city-wide referendum on the ordinance adopting the Plano Tomorrow Plan.  We believe the City's claim that a referendum is not allowed is a gross misrepresentation of the law.  Unfortunately it appears we will have to take the City to court to prove them wrong. Funds raised in this campaign will be used to defray costs in support of a referendum, including expected legal fees and printing.  The spending will be accounted for and reported in accordance Texas state law for PACs.

We gathered petitions with the signatures of over 4,000 registered voters - more than twice the number required to force a referendum.  After the City's refusal to count our petition signatures, legal action is being taken.  See the Update #3 regarding the lawsuit filed in February 2016.
