Plasma Cell Stomatitis

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am initiating a fundraiser for my facility cat named Licorice. He will be 4 years old in the middle of November. He was dumped here at my work along with his brother when he was approximately 7 weeks old. He is neutered, has his first pack of shots as well as his rabies vaccine. He is one of 14 cats on the property in which I work at. I have paid for each and every spay and neuter, first pack vaccine and rabies vaccine for each one of these cats over the past 6 years. About 2 months ago, Licorice started drooling a lot while he was eating and then began to lose a lot of weight. I started feeding him separately from the other cats, dry food during the day and a quarter can of moist food around 6:00 p.m. for dinner. His breath became very stinky and he started acting abnormal. Took him to the vet on this past Saturday, September 10th 2022. It turns out he has plasma sell stomatitis. Apparently, this is a hereditary condition. The only solution to keep him out of pain and to live a healthy life would be to get all of his teeth pulled out. I paid for a steroid that should work to ease his pain or at least take the edge off for the next few days up to a few weeks, nobody can be for sure how long it will last. I love him so much and he's such a good boy and I feel so terrible that I cannot afford to pay for the recommended procedure. I am hoping that I will be able to raise $3,000 and possibly even come across a cat rescue or a person with connections to another vet that would significantly lower this cost. I do not need the money directly as I would want it to be paid to the vet. This is my first fundraiser, I'm hoping that I will be able to save Licorice's life as I do not want him to live in pain. My only other option is going to be to put him to sleep because I cannot stand the thought of allowing an animal to suffer. Thank you for your time and consideration in my GoFundMe
