PLASTIC LITTER-"PICK IT, PICK IT!"

Hello everyone!

we are Kelvin and Martina,

an activist musician based in Kenya and an italian marine scientist and former individual consultant in the framework of the IOC-UNESCO Ocean Literacy Programme currently engaged in education and project development.

We share a common interest: reducing the impact of plastic wastes along the coastlines all over the world and turn this big issue into a challenging opportunity.

For this reason we are actively engaged in our local communities respectively, to raise awareness even on this global issue.

We trust in international cooperation and scientific research with a particular focus on social inclusion, indeed we decided to join our efforts to launch this crowdfunding campaign. This is a transboundary effort and an ambitious goal, therefore we need your help to be even more successful!

Your contribution will have a concrete impact on the concrete accomplishment of our main goals:

-A SOCIAL GOAL: engage local community in recycling processes (directly engaged in Kenya)

-AN EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC OBJECTIVE: have a direct educational impact on the local communities (through a remote and potentially field-based education programme focused on restoration and capacity building aspects).

-A PRACTICAL AND CREATIVE GOAL: finalize the recording process of the Kenyan "TRASH TALK INITIATIVE" (currently we have a compilation in demo version, made of 8 songs, played directly using artisanal instruments obtained from plastic wastes. We'd like to record them in a professional way and spread the word, in the near future!).
