Plastic waste collection and recycling near Kilimanjaro

Hello all,

my name is Elizabeth. I'm 24 years old and live in Machame, a small place near Mount Kilimanjaro. I am working as a tour guide in our beautiful sourroundings.

We are collecting plastic waste in our environment and want to built up recycling places to process the collected waste.

We are raising funds to support the plastic waste collection and recieve futher awareness for our project.

The funds will help us to operate more efficiently and with more staff. We want to purchase a recycling machine to further reduce transport costs and the amounts of plastic we can recycle.

Increasing our impact on our beloved enviroments in this special region is our main goal.

How the funds will be used:

1. Bins and Collection Tools: We need to buy more bins and tools to improve the plastic waste collection and sorting capabilities

2. Transportation: The collected and sorted waste needs to be transportet efficiently to recycling centers.

3. Awareness Campaigns: The education of our community and also tourists in our region is an important part of increasing our impact. Every single person can make a difference in waste collection.

4. Safety Gears: We need to ensure that our workers and volunteers are properly protected.

5. Rent: The costs of the usage space for soting and temporary storage needs to be covered.

The Kilimajaro Region and it National Park is very special and needs to be protected from plastic waste.

We would appreciate any funds we can get, to help protect this precious environment.
