Play Area Funding for Beech Grove School
Donation protected
Dear Parents and Carers
Fundraising for our play areas during COVID-19
During this pandemic, most of our fundraising activities have sadly ground to a halt. In the last year we have not been able to hold our summer fete, Christmas fayre, termly discos and bingos. All of these, reward us with social interaction with our school families and further community; they also help enormously with much need funds to support school projects. We would love nothing more, than to open the doors to such events this year, but at the current time we are unable to plan any of these. However, there is a way that you can help us fundraise.
Our fundraising project
Our first project is to reshape the grove, to provide a wildlife area and forest school space. In addition, we would like to install some outdoor mirrors to help reinforce the key teaching of coping with different emotions and recognising the feelings of others. This is more important than ever to mitigate the social and emotional impact of the COVID-19 lockdown.
We have big plans and are hoping to raise £20,000 in total. This sum will fund some significant improvements, such as climbing equipment, a climbing wall, trim trail, sensory garden, playtime equipment and more.
How you can help us fundraise......
Until such time when we can hold fundraising events in school, we hope that you will help us with one of the following initiatives:
Co-op Causes fundraising scheme. If you shop in the Co-Op, you can become a Co-Op member and register our school as your ‘cause’. It is similar to a rewards scheme; every time you shop, a donation is given to our school. Some of you have already registered and we have currently just under £100, which is super, but we are still a long way from achieving our goal.
In addition, we hope to link with local businesses to obtain grants to help with our target. If you know of any businesses that would like to help us, please let us know.
