Justice For Victims of Playful Paws
Donation protected
On the weekend of September 10, 2016, 14 large breed dogs being kenneled at Playful Paws Pet Center in Saskatoon, SK, were sent to their crates in a windowless, overheating room. Overnight, while the dogs were allegedly unattended for 12 hours, temperatures rose to 37 degrees Celsius due to a malfunctioning ventilation system. With no way to escape, no supervision, and no safety procedures in place, all 14 dogs needlessly suffered and died.
The families are asking for support with the cost of legal fees. The victims involved have a long and costly legal battle ahead and appreciate your support in seeking justice for the 14 dogs that passed away.
While nothing can return these dogs to their families, giving these dogs a voice and holding those responsible for the tragic death of 14 lives is what these families deserve.
*Any funds remaining once the proceedings are over will be used in the lobbying effort to establish regulation for Kennel Operators in Saskatchewan and donated to local animal charities as well as the University of Saskatchewan Small Animal Veterinary Clinic.
Thank you in advance for your support and contribution!
