Plea for urgent help! Al-Muzeny family in Gaza war

Dear compassionate supporters, the hope rebuilders,

We reach out to you with a plea for compassion and solidarity, as we are trying to help a dear family from Gaza, a family of 11 members who has endured unimaginable pain and loss due to the devastating impacts of war.

We are Al-Muzeny family, a family of 6 members. The father is Emad, an academic instructor at Al-azhar university who got destroyed. The monther is Rola Al-Qeshawi, a chef and a trainer at a center for GBV survivors which also got totally destroyed. The youngest daughter is Dana, she is enrolled in the software engineering at the Islamic university of Gaza, it was destroyed and a full academic year has been wasted during the war.

The son, khaled, is an Architect who has lost his interior design office, alongside with his wife Amira and his son Emad who was born during the war, the hospital where Amira gave birth was trapped during the operation which caused a defect to the newborn child’s shoulder, a challenge he bravely endures as he undergoes treatment.

The Al-Muzeny family's house in the Gaza area, located in Al-Rimal neighborhood, Abu Al-Kass Square, Madhat Al-Wahidi Street, was not spared from the devastation. On the ninth of Oct. 2023, their family home, Emad's office, and their cherished space were partially destroyed. The furniture and belongings, witnesses to years of hard work.

The journey to establish their home began in 2009, culminating in completion in 2021 through the dedicated savings from their modest salaries in Gaza. Each war (2014, 2012, and 2023) inflicted moderate damage, prompting repairs without a hint of compensation. The family reluctantly evacuated on 10/8/2023 following the instructions of the Israeli army, leading to 12 displacements across hospitals and friends' homes, most of which now are destroyed.

Struggling with a lack of income for five months and the severe siege in the north, the Al-Muzeny family finds themselves isolated, as friends and family have left the strip. A tragic discovery a week after Emad's birth revealed a medical challenge in his right hand. Hindered by lack of doctors, internet access, and resources, the family has sought natural treatment through a physical therapist, persevering without a formal diagnosis.

In the face of scarcity, the child urgently needs milk, unavailable in the local markets. The absence of breastfeeding compounds the challenges, driven by a lack of food. Desperate for a lifeline, the family aims to escape the famine, tend to the child's needs, and address his arm condition before irreversible damage occurs. Beyond immediate concerns, their desire to reunite with relatives and friends, rebuild a home, support a sister's education, and secure safety, sustenance, medicine, and work compel them to seek refuge outside Gaza.

Their plea for assistance echoes through the call for $28,000 (5*5,000$/person + 2500$/child) vital for their journey to safety to Cairo. Emad, the father, facing the daunting task of securing their future, has only managed to accumulate $4,500, making the collective support of compassionate donors instrumental in shaping a path towards a brighter, more secure tomorrow for the family.

Anything would make an impact, if you are not able to, please consider sharing the link among your network.

Thank you all in advance.
