Aid in support for Tariq's family during difficult time

It is with an overwhelming amount of grief and sadness that we are asking for your support in the wake of the tragic loss of my little brother, Samuell Tariq Liggins, aka Smiley. He was just 20 years old and was taken from us far too soon in a senseless act of violence. He was a kind-hearted soul with so much potential, and his loss has left an irreplaceable hole in our hearts.

Tariq was a fun-loving kid. He loved to play, joke around, and make everyone around him laugh. He was a bright young man who made tremendous strides, even when obstacles crossed his path. He put all of his effort into building a successful future for himself. Originally from Memphis, TN, our mother relocated to the southwest in search of a safer place to raise her children and give them the opportunity to flourish and grow. Unfortunately, it was here that his life was taken from him.

He leaves behind a community of friends and family who deeply loved him, both in Memphis TN and Farmington. We are hoping and praying to be able to bring him home. He was a really good kid—funny, caring, and hardworking. He always made a way for himself to achieve everything he put his heart and mind to. He had a way of brightening up every room he entered, making you smile if you were having a rough day and his presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was not just my loving little brother; he was a friend, a son, and a person with so much more to give to this world.

Our family is left having to face the unimaginable: not only the grief of losing him but also the financial and emotional burden of handling the aftermath of this tragedy. The support we are asking for will help provide support to our family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
