Please Assist Norman H. Shaw Sr.'s Sons with Burial Expenses

Hello everyone, my name is Kevin B. Shaw Sr. My brother, Norman H. Shaw Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, is on life support and expected to pass at any moment. I am setting up this GoFundMe account on behalf of Norman’s three sons, Sean, Norman Jr., and Antron. We just found out today that Norman’s organs are failing and he has minutes or hours, not days, to live. Everything is moving so fast and as a family, we’re supporting the sons in this time of grief.

Norman has the sickle cell anemia disease. His entire life has been nothing but sickle cell crises, with hospital admissions tens or even hundreds of times throughout his lifetime. He has weekly visits that could include shots, blood transfusions, or any issue this disease presents. Norman has lived a life of excruciating pain for 66 years. From a very young age, patients with this disease usually have a lifespan of about 32-35 years of age. Norman has beaten the odds, but the cost of that was more pain and suffering. He has always been a fighter.

This GoFundMe account is set up with the hopes of helping his sons give their father a decent burial and take care of any other issues that will arise. Norman’s fixed income went on expensive lifesaving medicines he needed to survive, and on the little quality of life of paying bills to keep a roof over his head and the lights on. He lived a life that was reflective of a person who had pride and dignity, no matter the pains he was constantly suffering from.

Norman is a believer. Though he was on Medicare and was limited to what he could do or where he could go, he would help out anyone he could in any way.

I pray his situation touches as many hearts as possible so his sons can be humble and grateful in the way they put their father to rest. I ask the Lord to bless and multiply whatever you can give.
