Please Bring Marcel Home

Hello, My name is Britt.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, our lives were forever changed. I woke up to the news that my 21-year-old son, Marcel Malanga, was detained in Kinshasa, Congo along with 2 other Americans. Since that morning, I have seen countless videos of a frightened Marcel being severely beaten up. As a mother, my heart is crying each day. Marcel has a liver disease and as a family we are so concerned for his health and well-being.

At the moment funds will be used in the US for lawyer fees and no funds will be sent abroad.

We are seeking financial support for Marcel’s defence teams, medical, and mental health treatment once he is home. We are extremely thankful for the love and support that has wrapped around us during this shocking time. As Marcel’s mother, my main goal each day is to bring him home. We have a long journey ahead of us in Kinshasa Congo and also in the U.S.A. Every little contribution will help and every prayer is welcomed. I can’t thank you enough, we are eternally grateful.
