Please help me hold my sister up during a trying time

Hi, my name is Andrea and I am reaching out to ask for help getting my sister out of a bad situation and back onto her feet.

This is a picture of my sister Bryana with her three boys (the twins are 12 & her youngest is 9) along with our parents at Christmas. She is a very compassionate person who loves her boys fiercely and sees the best in everyone. She works hard but is in a tough situation right now and could use some temporary support to get on her own two feet - it takes a village right?

She and her soon to be ex-husband have been living separately but together for far too long and it is an extremely toxic situation for all of them. She has been working hard on trying to move out on her own but it is nearly impossible to do so in today's economy as a single mother. She has a decent job administering dialysis treatment to kidney patients at Davita Dialysis but doesn't make enough money to come up with first and last months rent and security deposits so she has struggled to find a realistic way out of her situation.

She also recently found out that she has some major medical issues which require major surgery, this is scheduled for the end of April, and although she does have Short Term Disability through her employer, there is a waiting week and then she is entitled to only 60% of her pay.

On top of that, her soon to be ex-husband recently informed her that she has to be moved out by May 1st, just 6 days after major surgery, so he has time to get his house ready to move his girlfriend in on June 1st.

Not quite the "for better or worse" that they signed up for.

Thanks to some amazing neighbors, Ben and I have been able to purchase a 2 bedroom condo here in Elk River that Bryana will be able to rent out without all of the typical down payment items. This is a huge relief in and of itself but it is still going to be a struggle to get over the hump and on the other side of the hardships without help from this great community.

Just getting out of the situation she's in currently is a huge blessing but it is still going to be a struggle while she adjusts financially to living on her own as a single mom, especially with a temporary reduction in income coupled with the recovery time for the surgery.

Therefore, I humbly ask you to please consider donating to this cause, as every little bit helps. She could also use help over the next couple weeks with emptying her storage unit (selling and donating items that she won't need in the apartment) and help getting settled in to her new home after surgery once the apartment becomes available at the end of the month.

I understand that there are a lot of noble causes out there & I promise you that throwing even a small amount of money this way will make an extremely positive impact on this family in the best way ever. You will truly be making a difference in my sister & nephew's lives.

It's isn't going to be easy but it is going to be worth it.
