Please consider helping the Stoddard's!

Hello all! My name is Magen Pesta, and while I know this is lengthy, I would greatly appreciate you taking the time to read it. I met the Stoddard family (just Bruce and Alicia, originally) through the Bridge Course (at our church). In time, I befriended most of their family, and they've become near and dear to my heart. As most of you know, they have recently gained full-custody of their grandbabies, Layla (2), and Levi (1). After adopting and raising six special needs foster kiddos for more than half their lives, this was an unexpected twist, but a blessing nonetheless. They've put their lives (and freedom) on the back burner once again to follow the Lord's path for them, and they could use our help.

Last year, I hired a contractor to renovate my home. Sadly, they did not fulfill the contract, and I had already purchased the building supplies. Instead of trying to sell it all, I saw it as a way to bless others. I decided I'd love to help renovate/update some issues at the Stoddard's home, serving them and making their life a little easier along the way. We've already met and discussed their needs, their wants, and compared that to the unused supplies I have.

People who want to serve and are willing to volunteer their time and skills are obviously the most important and valued part of this entire process, but there are a few other things we will need along the way...This GoFundMe was started to pay for all of the supplies that I'm not able to donate, such as exterior doors, flooring, windows, etc. We will also need meals and drinks for the volunteers on the days we will be working. If possible, I'd love to find trash disposal at a reasonable cost (whether it be a dumpster, a dump pass, or someone willing to take it and dispose of/burn it). Also, a Home Depot "runner" for the last-minute supplies that I will inevitably forget, and last but not least, ideas on somewhere we could send them for two nights so that they're out of the house and we can go to work full speed ahead.

We will definitely need a couple of folks with knowledge and experience to lead the way. I plan to split this project into two weekends--I'm hoping the first of which is Friday, December 2nd, and Saturday, December 3rd. The second weekend would happen after the holiday season. I'm hoping folks will graciously give up some of their time to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ so we can help renew both their home and their faith. I'm also hoping it'll give their family some peace of mind and lessen their worries for years to come.
