I am directing this post and fundraiser to our friends and supporters outside of the Asheville area.

You've all seen the devastation that has bled into every community in Asheville and even more so in the surrounding, more rural areas. It is heartbreaking beyond comprehension. Because everyone in and around Asheville is struggling with normal day-to-day activities, I hope that if you live outside of Asheville, you will feel a stronger pull to support.

As of today, our staff have been out of work for a week. The power came back on last night, and that will help, but without running water at the studio and most people's homes, it could be a couple more weeks for our full schedule to return. Some of our staff rely fully on Danceclub for their income, so this unknown timeline is very scary for them. We are calling out to all our sweet dance studios around the country that may connect with this need even more and feel compelled to support.

We love Asheville so, so, so much. It is mind-bogglingly sad what has happened here. We love our Danceclub community, and I want to continue to offer a place for people to connect with each other, their bodies, and just dance. Movement and people's hobbies, as insignificant as it may seem in a time like this, are so incredibly important for mental health. I want to make sure, for whoever is able, that I always have a safe place for them to come and move and connect with the community they have built here that means so much to them! The healthier we are, the more we can support our community and help get this town back to somewhat normal times. ❤️
