Hi my name is Andrew, I am battling a common battle with insurance and I shouldn't have to. None of us should. We all pay our premiums on time we pay to insure that when things happen we are covered for times when the unexpected happen. I have been battling and advocating on behalf of myself inspite of the fact I have dealt with and currently deal with mental health issues that have kept me from being able to work for the last 3 years of my life. I consider myself to be a lucky person for my employer is a union. I am a member of the I.B.E.W. 353 International Brotherhood(Sisterhood) of Electrical Workers union 353 and because of that i have been properly supported as I have battled through my wars in mental health and they have been wars.

I suffer from Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Type 2 with hypomania, borderline personality traits and complex PTSD. I also have Sleep Apnea and food Sensitivities that impact my mental wellbeing also autism and celiac disease are rampant in my family tree although I have not been identified directly with those yet. My grandmother mom and aunt on my mother's side all have had to deal with the dietary constraints of celiac and my father, although never diagnosed,never was a truer example of extroverted aspbergers if there ever was one. My younger sibling was identified as gifted not aspergers but his 3 ofspring have been and my amazing sister-in-law is a prime candidate also missing her official diagnosis. Needless to say like recognizes like.

But that is neither here nor there the reason for the fundraising efforts.

The funding would be as I continue to be surviving off my long term disability support from my work which provides me a little less that 3 k a month 2998.14 a month to be persise. And as I am asking for assistance I feel I should be an open book for my own Financials. My current costs mostly include my mortgage costs which are 1 mortgage payment towards a house I co own my payment a month is 1196.42 i also carry a loan for renos I did on the property from home depot that costs me 395.73 a month my vehicle insurance for my car and motorcycle cost me combined 222.84. My cellphone is about 120 a month. Then there are costs for gas hydro home insurance internet and general costs totalling aprox $2400 but as you can see there is not much left out of the monthly alowance especially when you factor in some credit card balances even carrying minimum payments i basically have about 500 dollars to live on a month to cover vehicle gas food and incidentals.

I had been managing this until the house issues and the leak in the house but since then I have had to not only pay for all these things but also pay for emergency housing and pay for rental of equipment and pay for materials to try and save my house. You would think the insurance company would be doing these things but not so much yet. I have had to go out of pocket extending myself maxing every line of credit available to myself borrowing myself to the hilt to keep everything moving to get myself to here. And now I have asked the insurance company since Thursday for help and crickets. So now I turn to friends family strangers hoping for better response maybe the humans with human feelings with respond better. I don't need much for I hope the two hours I spent on hold yesterday and subsequent 45 minutes on the phone with an agent at the insurance company will actually make a difference but my trust in them is not very high as I have been promised much and let down often. Perhaps the humans here will prove we are better and can stand up and show we care more than the faceless corporations thst do nothing. So I thank you all in advance please do not give me more than you can afford to please send only what you can spare do not put yourself in jeopardy for my benefit for I am a survivor I will survive this too. As I have survived the 46 years that have brought me to this moment but I am not greedy. What is donated to me I will use only what I need and the next person who finds them self in need like me will find themselves the owner of this windfall as well we must look after each other as we are all members of the two foot tribe.
