FLOODS: 33 m Displaced Donate For Affected People

When the skies opened over Pakistan over the past few weeks in an unrelenting, unprecedented monsoon downpour of biblical proportions, it left roughly 9% of the entire country under water. In the U.S., that would be like the Mississippi flooding and inundating the entire states of Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Iowa.

If you can imagine the mayhem that would cause to Americans—including their families, homes, farms, businesses, livestock, and pets—that’s what’s currently happening to the people in Pakistan, especially in the south.

Would you like to join me in making a difference? At this hour of grave emergency, when literally millions of people have been displaced from their homes and are struggling to find edible food and drinkable water and shelter from the relentless rain, I would like to call on compassionate and generous Americans to step up and help!

I’m raising money through Soomro Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 U.S.-based charitable organization, to benefit the internally displaced persons and hungry animals of the Kamber Shahdadkot district of Sindh, Pakistan. Any donation will help to make an impact. Millions are homeless, without food, sleeping under the open sky on muddy roadsides. According to local news, over 720,000 cattle alone—and counting—not to mention dogs, cats, and other pets have perished in the floodwaters.

Thanks in advance for reading and watching the BBC’s reports. The media reports show the heartbreaking situation of the throngs of homeless, hungry men, women, children, and elderly people displaced by the floods, who are desperate for food, water, and shelter to survive.
