Hi, we are the supporting village of Bob Pirtle, and we are asking for your help while Bob and his family (Deann and Cecilia) face a medical emergency. On July 14th, Bob went to urgent care and was sent straight to the hospital. He was experiencing severe abdominal pain and other scary symptoms (too graphic to mention). He was quickly diagnosed with a recto-urethral fistula; an intense infection, and we dread having to give this update-but it was confirmed today after a biopsy that Bob has colon cancer.

Bob is a fighter and an action plan is underway to begin chemo and in the near future a surgery. We have all the faith in the world that he will beat this with Deann and Ceci fighting right along with him. There will be more information to come as they meet with specialists. This means a longer hospital stay, being out of work and mounting medical procedures, chemo, surgeries and bills.

If you know Bob and Deann, you know that they HELP and SHOW UP for the people around them. They have given back to their friends and families and are always there for others. Bob is one of the hardest working people I know and always willing to lend a hand to his loved ones. He’s the only person I know who is not annoyed when you ask him for help with your car.

Everyone who has heard, wants to know how to help so we put this page together in efforts to raise money for his surgery, chemo treatments, hospital stay, time off work, and any physical therapy. Our goal is to give back to the Pirtle family in trying to relieve some of the financial burden of this cancer journey.
