Please donate to help a Firefighter with cancer
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Mike McNeill, and I am Deputy Chief with Moreau Fire Protection District in Eldon, MO. We have one of our firefighters who is once again battling multiple cancers. Ken Mast has been a volunteer firefighter for five years, three with Moreau. During those three years, Ken has become a valuable member of our department and has helped us grow the department in many ways. He is a very important part of our team. He and his wife Deborah have been married for about 4 years.
Last year Ken was diagnosed with Testicular cancer and went through many hours of Chemo treatments. That did not keep him from assisting us where he could, though, with the department. His doctors were hopeful that they had gotten all of the cancer, but that was not the case.
Ken is self-employed and drives trucks for a living. Over the Labor Day holiday, he began experiencing problems while on the road. He was transported to the University of Missouri, where it was determined that the Testicular cancer has returned after extensive testing. He was also informed that cancer had progressed to the Lymph nodes.
Ken is currently undergoing treatment for the cancer and it is unknown how long it will be before he can return to work, if ever.
We are asking for donations to help the family through this tough time.
The men and women of the Moreau Fire Protection District thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
