Please Donate to Help after Hurricane Ian flood

Hi, my name is Eileen from Buenaventura Lakes and I am starting a fundraiser to help us get back on our feet after the hurricane. On September 29 at around 2:30am we received an 'Emergency Flash Flood Warning' on our phones. At that time, we looked outside and noticed the water was rising very quickly. We woke up the kids and told them to take anything they want to save from the floors and bottom drawers and start throwing it on their beds. The sandbags we had placed outside did nothing as the water started coming up over the sandbags and into the house. By 3:30 am, we had no power and 6 inches of water in the whole house. By 6am we had 8 inches of water in the house and a collapsed ceiling from a tree branch that fell on the house. All our beds, flooring, and furniture was destroyed by the toxic water. We had to rip up all the flooring and baseboards and have been living out of the living room and kitchen as all the rooms need to be sanitized and the kids beds and furniture replaced. This fundraiser will help us get beds and dressers and maybe some clothes so we can try to return to some sort of normalcy.
