Ellis Charles was born right on time, March 12th. What should have been a joyous occasion turned frightening as the situation quickly evolved into a crisis. His pulmonary system is not functioning properly. He was transferred to the NICU, then life-flighted from Bangor to Mass General's ICU for babies, and then transferred to the NICU at Boston Children's Hospital. Besides Finn and Lindsey's constant love and support, he is being evaluated by many teams: cardiology, pulmonology, neurology. As you can imagine, Ellis's medical costs, and Finn and Lindsey's lodging costs are substantial. We are asking for any donation to help offset the bills Finn and Lindsey are facing along with this emergency. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

"All the teams we're working with at Children's have been amazing. Ellis is getting incredible care here. His respiratory status seems to be improving slowly and he has made some progress but is definitely not out of the woods yet. They are still searching for answers about why his case has been so severe and complex. We will not know any neurological outcomes until later but we are remaining guardedly hopeful and taking the small wins. We are so very grateful and deeply touched by everyone's generosity. It's a big weight off to have some financial help amongst everything going on. We love our community and we know that Ellis can feel how much love is surrounding him from all over the country." ~Finn
