Please support Darren in his fight against cancer

Hi my name is Jamie, my nephew Darren, age 31 has recently been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer, Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma. This type of cancer makes up only 1% of cancers. Darren will need to have several rounds of chemotherapy and surgeries. The doctors in Vermont and Plattsburgh have referred him to Dana Farber in Boston as they are more advanced, have more specialists in Sarcoma cancers and offer clinical trials. Darren will need to make many trips to Vermont in addition to Boston and Plattsburgh. We are hoping his infusions can be done in Plattsburgh at some point. As of now there is a nationwide shortage on one of the chemo meds he needs and they are unsure of when they will get it. Darren, as of this week, is out of work on short term disability which will very likely lead to long term disability. Due to all of these factors, he will only receive a very small portion of his income, so that is why I am here reaching out to our community for monetary help in hope to relieve some of the financial burden/impact Darren will face during this long and very tough journey. Any and all donations will go towards any shortages he will have for his monthly living expenses such as rent and utilities (he lives alone) in addition to ferry passes, hotel stays and hospital bills. No amount is too small and every cent would be greatly appreciated. Darren’s family (me, his dad Brian, step mother Amy, sister Shyenne and brother Alax) will and are doing everything we can to help support Darren while he goes through this difficult journey. Darren is one of the best and like many others, doesn’t deserve this. Thank you!
