Hi, our names are Joseph and Kaley and we are setting up a go fund me for our dear friend Dufferin.

Yesterday Duff arrived home to find a swarm of police and fire trucks. The tiny home he had been working on for the last 3 years had burned to the ground just before completion. A solar battery he had installed the day before had malfunctioned and caused the fire to start. By the time he had returned home from town it was too late, the fire consumed everything.

The fire did not only consume the tiny home, but also 2 adjacent sheds that contained all of the tools which Duff uses to sustain his lively hood as a general contractor.

Duff has invested most of his money, time and energy into this project and is left completely devistated. His intent and passion was to create and support local affordable housing and community and use the sale of this home to continue building more. Now he is left with debt, a pile of remains that has to be cleaned up and no tools to do his work.

Everyone who knows Duff knows he is a beautiful man with a giving and caring heart. The kind of guy who will do your dump run, cut your firewood, help you around the land and lend a hand in any way he can. We have been caring for him and trying to keep him lifted and decided to reach out to our wonderfuI community for support.

With the total loss equaling around

80, 000$ in value, the amount we are aiming to raise is merely to cover a portion of the costs, get him started back up with the tools required for his work and to support his basic needs in this very challenging time.
