okay everyone … firstly i can’t begin to describe how difficult this is to write … my darling courageous and most beautiful girl has taken a few steps back. yesterday miss karley was put on life support … for many reasons and without going into all the medical terminology we are in the best place right now. the drs nurses staff and neuro team at rpa sydney are all doing the best they can. they will continue to push the boundaries and keep testing and looking for the answers we need to get a diagnosis and treatment plan to help miss k come back us and all we can do is continue to hope and pray for a positive outcome. i have so many unanswered questions that some we may never find the answers for . it is in these times that family love friendships and support from community and complete strangers that make keeping a bedside vigil and our hope of a full recovery forefront in our hearts and minds .

i want to thank my son braidey my absolute rock of strength and too my family that have come to support and be there not only for karley but for braidey n i too have given us more strength and courage to muster and keep fighting with every breathe we take. it is in these times and those difficult questions no one wants to hear or answer i absolutely refuse to and cannot make on my own.

i am truly forever grateful for the generosity of u all and if i could hug each and everyone of u i would. so would miss k because if u have ever had one of karleys hug they are truly special. just like her . a special note to aunty gas (michelle) for bringing sexy back and keeping karelys gorgeous red hair brushed in check and detangled . mum ur granddaughter is such a warrior . i wonder where she got that from.

i send the most heartfelt thanks for all the prayers love and light surrounding my darling brave girl. we will keep updating as much as we can when we can.

lastly too all that have privately messaged, thank you. it may take us a bit of time to get back to u all but know how chuffed we feel knowing angels like u are here rooting for karleys safe return to us. myself braidey and my family thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts x

Friends & family, we desperately need your help.

It breaks our hearts to say, here we are again. Our most beautiful, bravest, strongest & most purest kind hearted, precious Karley girl has taken a turn for the worst.

Suddenly and unexpectedly our girl has started having seizures again, Karley has been suffering in the ICU in orange since Tuesday, running every test that she’s stable enough to have to try and find some answers. 8 years ago, September of 2015 Karley underwent surgery to remove half of her brain, otherwise known as a hemispherectomy which involves surgical removal of half of her brain to treat the deep build up of fluid in her brain to stop her seizures and give her some quality of life. While Karley was born with Sturge Weber syndrome, cerebral palsy & is also legally blind, having the hemi surgery gave her the opportunity to live a life with half a brain, seizure free.

Up until this point, our girl had proved the world wrong. With being only the second person in the world to regain movement in parts of her body post op that others weren’t able to, proves to us she is a fighter. From building a business and becoming a professional photographer, to living on her own and gaining her own employment and had been working at Woolworths,she is determined to be here and she gives it everything she’s got to fight through anything and she always has.

So far they are doing everything they can to get Karlz stable enough to get her to Westmead in Sydney to her neurologist team, it’s been very touch and go and the family are just taking it day by day hoping for a miracle.

But until then while her family, anxiously and desperately waiting for answers and begging for everyone’s prayers there is something we can do to help them.

Karleys family have been by her bedside since Tuesday watching her suffer through what we thought she was finally over and being poked and prodded at by doctors and nurses all day everyday again. We know it’s going to be a long hard road ahead, to help Karleys family take time away from work to stay by her side and be there for her to support her through this extremely unexpected scary time, to cover costs of fuel for travel, accomodation, food, necessities anything to help this struggling family. While we understand the community are still struggling financially, $2 goes a long way these days, we appreciate anything small to help this beautiful family be with their girl and pray she pulls through this

Lastly, please say all your prayers for our girl. It’s an unpredictable time, our beautiful happy, free spirited, kind & bubbly girl is fighting for her life and she needs all of your love, support and most importantly your prayers for a miracle.
