Hi, we are the Nystrom family. Our daughter, sister, and aunt Melanie has fallen on hard times, and we hope to reach out for help. First, let us tell you about what an amazing person Mel is.

Mel spends EVERYDAY volunteering at Eastside Victory Outreach Church in Forest Lawn. She is invested in supporting the homeless and working poor of the area. On a daily basis, she picks up donations of food, clothing, pet care items, and toiletries. Additionally, Mel spends hours a week cooking meals and distributing them to those in need. She works tirelessly to support her Church and community and asks nothing in return. Melanie is an integral part of the Church and its ability to support those in who need it in Forest Lawn.

In order for Melanie to be able to do what she does, she has been using her own vehicle to pick up donations and groceries. Her '97 F150 is as integral to the church's operations as Melanie herself. Recently, her truck was stolen. Due to the age of the truck, insurance does not provide enough to get her a reliable vehicle. The loss of the truck has not only removed the Church's ability to pick up donations but has also cut off Mel from being able to get to the Church herself. Eastside Victory is greatly missing Melanie and her always-giving heart. We hope to be able to raise enough to buy Mel a "new to her" truck, not only so she can continue supporting her community but also because this amazing woman, who gives selflessly to so many, is well deserving.
