Seeking help for Mr. Dilip Pradhan.

Hi, I am Kala and I am fundraising for my friend's father.

Mr Dilip Pradhan (65), a Bhutanese retiree, came to Australia to visit his daughter and family at the end of 2022. A recent routine test revealed that he is suffering from bowel cancer which needs to be urgently removed. He will be undergoing an operation this evening. Although he took all the right steps in seeking health insurance for his stay in Australia, the insurance provider seems to be unable to cover the cost on grounds of this being a 'pre-existing' condition - even if the very first diagnosis was made here just recently.

Mr Pradhan will not be able to cover the costs of this medical procedure on his own, but with a little bit of help from friends and family and the larger community as a whole, I believe we will be able to raise the required amount.

The cost estimate for the operation including hospital, anesthetic, surgeon and assistant surgeon costs provided by the medical facility is 29,908 dollars. This is anticipating that everything will go smoothly as planned.

Mr Pradhan is a loving husband to Mrs Urmila Pradhan, a doting father of two daughters, Nisha and Sona, and is the most affectionate grandfather to his 4 grandchildren. He lives in Gomtu, Samtse, Bhutan, but is currently staying with his older daughter and her family while visiting them in Adelaide.
