For those of you who don’t know my sister Terri I would like to tell you a little bit about her. Terri is the most beautiful and loving spirit. Smart and independent. Graduated from Pitt with degree in Engineering and excelled in a field that was dominated by men at the time she entered the work force. Terri has one child, her daughter Ella, who she loves and lives for.

Due to no fault of Terri’s she has a physical disability brought on by an illness which ended her ability to work. Recently she has found herself in a position where, through also no fault of hers, she has had to incur debt to secure housing for herself and her daughter. She has been put in a position where she faces severe financial hardship going forward. Terri is at risk of losing the help she needs to maintain her independence. I don’t want to use social media to lay blame for why this situation exists.

I know that people often say “why didn’t anyone let me know, I would have loved to help”. I am letting you know now. This decision did not come easy. I personally find it very difficult to ask for help. But this is a situation where I owe my sister all I can do to help her have the best life she can with all that lays ahead for her.
